New Rector for St. Peter's, Glenside!
The vestry of St. Peter's Church, Glenside, is delighted to announce that the Rev. Emily B. Richards has accepted our call to become our next rector. Emily was selected unanimously by the Discernment Committee and elected unanimously by the vestry. We are so happy to welcome Emily and her family to St. Peter's. We look forward to her presence among us as we journey together in our life in Christ. She will begin as our rector on June 15. Her first Sunday with us will be June 21.

Tribute to St. Peter's First Rector.
An oil painting of St. Peter’s first rector, The Rev. Robert Nelson Back, was presented to the Senior Warden on Saturday, June 6, 2009 following a memorial service and interment in the memorial garden. Left to right: Senior Warden, Rob DeKalb, Martha Back Aguiar, Ann Back Price, Robert Nelson Back (in the painting) Robert K. Back, Muriel Cullis Back and Timothy C. Back. The Rev. Bob Back’s ashes were interred next to those of the 2nd rector of St. Peter’s, the Rev. Charles H. Long, Jr. The homily was delivered at the memorial service by the Rev. Frank Toia.

New Summer Schedule for Thrift & Gift Shop
Have you heard? The Thrift & Gift Shop plans on being open this summer. Instead of completely closing the shop from June to September, we will maintain Saturday hours all summer this year.
With our new summer schedule, our customers can come in to shop on Saturdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm. We will hold consignment time on the first Saturday of July and August so you can continue to bring in your items. So stop in this summer and check us out. You may find something you like such as sports memorabilia, neat decorating items, beautiful artwork, clothes or toys.
