Latest COVID Updates
Update as of October 27, 2022 - While the uptick in COVID cases among St. Peter's members seems to have settled down, the COVID County Community level continues to be at Medium. That means that masks are optional but highly recommended, especially for those who are particularly at risk. At St. Peter's we'll decide on a case-by-case basis on whether masks will be required as we move into the program and holiday season. For example, we are asking our youngest members attending Godly Play to wear masks to ensure that this particularly vulnerable group stays healthy, and we'll monitor how that goes as the weeks progress. Please make sure to get your COVID boosters and your flu shot, if you have not already. With Flu, RSV, and COVID circulating this season, let's make sure to be extra committed to caring for one another and being safe.
COVID Safety Plan
The COVID Advisory Committee has developed an initial COVID Safety Plan (see link at the top of this page) which the vestry has adopted. This plan lays out St. Peter’s strategy for maximizing congregant safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, while allowing for the return of practices important for the life of the church. St. Peter’s and the COVID Advisory Committee are committed to updating the plan consistent with the best public health practices, guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and rules and/or guidance from the Montgomery County Health Department, as well as guidance from the Diocese of Pennsylvania.
