Tuesday November 5, 2024 is Election Day.

As people of faith, it is essential that we put our values to bear in building a stable and civil society. One way we do this is through our vote.  Below you will find links to government websites that explain the process of registering and voting in Pennsylvania in the November election.   Important dates are also shown.

REGISTER TO VOTE

October 21, 2024  - Last day to register  to vote before the election
 

VOTE BY MAIL

Click HERE for information on how to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot.

 

5 p.m. Oct. 29:  Time by which your APPLICATION for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by your county election office.

8 p.m. Nov. 5: Time by which your county election office must RECEIVE your completed mail ballot.  A postmark by 8 p.m. Nov. 5 is not sufficient. 

VOTE IN PERSON

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.  Remember, if you are in line by 8 p.m., you can vote.

Volunteer to Drive People to the Polls

Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting is helping organize the Philly Souls to the Polls project, which will provide transportation on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for people who are unable to make it to their polling location.

 

Philly Souls to the Polls is a Quaker-initiated interfaith, neighbor-to neighborhood project where volunteers use their own cars to help people get to the polls.
