Ring for Peace: Join us for Toll the Bell this Friday, June 5

Handbells will be provided!

On Friday, June 5, National Gun Violence Awareness Day, St. Peter's will participate in the regional Toll the Bell event with a prolonged period of bell ringing and other sound-making in the church, along with 40+ other locations across the city and beyond.

This event will be live-streamed on our Facebook page!

If you'd like to ring a handbell, please gather in the church by 12:30 p.m. to receive bells and instructions for the 1 p.m. sound installation.

Bell ringing will start promptly at 1 p.m.

We will ring for 5 minutes, take a 30-second pause, and then continue to ring for another 5 minutes.

We will ring for a total of 10 minutes.

Souls Shot 2025 Exhibition

The Souls Shot art exhibition ran for the entire month of January 2025 in St. Peter's sanctuary. The exhibition featured portraits of Philadelphia-area residents who have lost their lives to gun violence. The portraits, created by local artists, used a variety of media, aiming to create a sacred space to honor the lives of those affected by gun violence and to advocate for effective gun control legislation and practices.

In addition to the month-long exhibition, an Adult Forum tour and discussion, a Community Program & Tour, and a Taizé Prayer Service were held to deepen and enrich the meaning of the art’s presence.
