America faces grave threats to our democracy.
Here in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and all across America,
our constitutionally protected rights to free speech, fair elections, and a free press are under attack by
our federal goverment. Many among us are experiencing hunger, financial distress, and feel unsafe as
ICE and our federal goverment are being deployed in unlawful ways. We have witnessed these threats,
and it is time to stand together and take action to protect our community and its future.
Time For Action is a non-partisan movement to promote civic engagement, defend civil rights, protect
neighbors, and restore hope in our community. We have identified four goals to guide our actions:
STAND UP
FOR DEMOCRACY
We seek ways to build coalitions
of people willing to stand up, raise
awareness about injustices, and
take peaceful action to protect our
democracy.
PROTECT VOTING
INTEGRITY
We seek ways to encourage voter
registration, support safe access
to polling places, and promote
organizations that protect voting
integrity.
EXERCISE OUR
CIVIL RIGHTS
We seek ways to support our
neighbors, immigrants, and people
of color who are being threatened,
incarcerated, and deported.
RESTORE HOPE &
COMMUNITY
We seek ways to rediscover hope and
rebuild community connections in
a world where some are seeking to
divide us.
