Greetings, Friends!

There is still time to join us for the next book reading group, Poverty, by America.

We will meet on Wednesday, November 11th in the small meeting room near the parish offices and by zoom.

Next, we have our Advent Book  Watch for the Light.

This link is from Bookshop.org, but you can purchase it at your favorite vendor. We will meet by Zoom on both Wednesday, December 2nd and Wednesday, December 9th.

Here is the zoom link:

I look forward to a lively discussion!

I am happy to announce that we will have an Advent Wreath building activity on Sunday, November 22nd, after service, in the parish hall. If you would like to participate, here is the information:

1. Please let us know you will attend! There is a sign up sheet on the board near the kitchen.

2. New this year--we will glean evergreens from our own gardens. Here is a list of the types of greens that will hold up well: Japanese Holly, Boxwood, Evergreen Magnolia, spruce, arborvitae and Leyland cypress.  You can also bring berry sprigs from holly trees. To harvest greens, always cut to the next branch junction with sharp pruners or loppers to ensure you don't disfigure your tree or shrub. Bring extra to share.

3. Cut your greens a few days before the event. Place the cut end down into a bucket of water and keep outdoors or in a cool place--just watch that the water doesn't freeze!

4. On the day of the event, bring your pruners and your greens. We have plenty of green wire on our craft shelves to help secure the greens.

5. Plan on having a fun time!
